About the Music One iPhone Application

Version 1.0

Listening to Music One via our iPhone app requires an internet connection. The app has been designed to work on any internet connection available on the iPhone.

The Playlist

The Playlist shows the songs you’ve recently heard as well as up to 10 songs that you might have missed (they’re marked in pink). Unfortunately, for legal reasons, we’re not allowed to tell you what’s coming up next!

Favorites List

When you vote on a song, it then appears in the Favorites list. You can vote multiple times for the same song in the voting period, but only your last vote will count when Music One compiles that week’s Top 20 list. The voting period is from midnight Saturday to Saturday and at that time your votes will be automatically cleared. The songs you voted on will remain in your Favorites list so that you can keep track of songs you like and vote on them again!

Top 20 List

The Top 20 list shows the top twenty song from the previous voting period. The previous period’s Top 20 lists are available around 20h00 (8 PM) New York City time.

To Play or Pause a Song Use the familiar play and pause buttons on the pink bar at the bottom of the page.

To view the Favorites, Top 20 or Playlist Songs

Swipe the screen to the left to view the Favorites, Top 20 or Playlist songs. To get back to the main screen, swipe to the right. You can also use the page control at the bottom of the page or the back arrow button when it’s visible.

To Vote on a Song

Touch the star that reflects your vote. To remove your vote, touch the first star twice. Your changes will be recorded and sent to Music One after about 2 seconds. You can vote on the currently playing song or you on any song you viewed through the Favorites, Top 20 or Playlists.

To Change Your Bandwidth and Quality Settings

Touch the “i” button on the pink bar to display the app settings. Choose one of the Streaming Options displayed at the top of the More screen. If your connection is poor or you want to minimize bandwidth costs, choose “Good Quality”. If you want the best sound quality, choose “High Quality”. You can change Streaming Options while you are playing music.

To Find Support, About and Contact Us

You can find an About, Support and Contact pages on the More screen, available by touching the “i” button.

To Stop and Unexplained Delay

Any time the Music One app is waiting for the internet, song data or the audio stream, the Stop (X) button will appear. To return the app to its default screen, touch the X button.

If You Lost Your Internet Connection

If you are playing music, the app will wait until the internet has been restored, then resume playing.

To Change Your Application Language

The Music One app supports English, Dutch, Spanish, French and German at this moment. We tried to get the translations right but let us know if we get it wrong and we’ll try to correct it in the next version.
